SONG OF THE DAY

CATCH ME/DONT FORGET- DEMI LOVATO!
My song of the day is an older song which I've only just rediscovered, its a mash up from her second studio album 'Here we go again'. I found a youtube video through varies other videos and found a 20 or so minute intimate concert, by VEVO. The original song was released in 2009, but in this recent performances she sang some of her favourites. I think this song (mash up) is so beautiful the simplicity of acoustic and vocals make for a nice sound without the need for all of the background track.

LEAVE MILEY ALONE

MILEY'S WRECKING BALL
This is Miley Cyrus's music video which broke records on youtube and Vevo, I've posted the directors cut version because in my opinion its so much better than the video that got everyone talking. Miley has been a hot topic for a while, she shocked everyone after her VMA performance and her outrageous songs and videos are keeping her in the spot light. I think she's doing something right 'All publicity is good publicity' is a perfect quote in this occasion because no matter peoples opionions, she's selling records and becoming iconic. Wrecking ball is an amazing song in its own right, the lyrics and high notes speak for themselves, so i don't think there was much need in the shocking video, i prefer the directors cut version were all we see is Miley barring her emotions to the world in a constant close up, her feelings and even talent shine through the bad press in this video. No matter how outrageous she gets theres no disputing the fact that she can actually sing well.

BAND OF THE MOMENT!

THE BOYS OF BASTILLE!
These are a band to listen to, there surprisingly not as popular as i thought but there fan base is growing in mass after there show stopping performances at the 2013 iTunes festival. I have been listening to them for about 3 months now and there songs are always in my head. There are 4 band members including: Dan smith who is the bands front man and lead vocalist. Chris 'Woody' Wood, on the drums. Will Farquarson mainly on acoustic guitar, and finally Kyle Simmons on keyboard. The four boys make a combination like no other and all bring a unique sound to the band. There album 'Bad Blood' 2013 is a really good collection of songs with more known songs like 'Pompeii' and my favourite song 'weight of living'. I recomend this band to anyone because although there generalised as alternative rock there lyrics are relatable to anyone.
